GRC can organize
meetings for outside groups that are related to the basic mission of the
Gordon Conferences. The review of the Vision 2020 or workshops
for road maps would fit in that category. The cost basis for
meetings organized by GRC is divided into three parts: the actual cost
of the school or hotel facility; an administrative fee for the operation
of the Gordon Conferences; and a fee to create a stipencbstod for the
meeting Chair to use in organizing the meeting, if desired. Please
inquire about the cost for a particular time and place (cbstorm@grcmail.grc.uri.edu).

The United Engineering
Foundation can organize conferences under the leadership of experts in
the areas and issues which are important for the Vision 2020 program.
The format of the conference provides morning and evening sessions in
which major presentations are made. Discussion is emphasized and
participants are expected to contribute. Available time is included
during the afternoons for ad hoc meetings where summaries and position
papers could be drafted, for informal discussions, and/or for recreation.
This time is designed to enhance rapport among participants and promote
dialogue on the developments of the meeting. Attendance can be restricted
to "by invitation only" or broadened to those willing to participate by
paying the conference fee. Conferences could be held at resort-type
locations either in the US or internationally. Conference participants
stay at the same hotel and take meals together, thereby promoting interaction
and networking.
