In conjunction with the CCR Governing Board Meeting held in Philadelphia, PA on January 14 - 15, 2010, CCR hosted a "mini-symposium" for members and prospective members. On Thursday, January 14, at the Chemical Heritage Foundation, the mini-symposium summarized preliminary findings from the CCR/NSF workshop on Assessing & Enhancing the Impact of Science R&D in the US Chemical Sciences and the NIChE Conference on Micro-Reactor Technologies: A Critical Tool for Process Optimization and Intensification. Dr. Kelsey Cook, Program Manager of the Chemistry Division at NSF, presented information on federal funding opportunities. The meeting was followed by a reception.
