CCR Award Nominations Deadline

Just a reminder that the calls for CCR award nominations (the Malcolm Pruitt Award, the Research Collaboration Award, and the Diversity Award) were sent out some time ago, and the deadline for nominations was extended to February 15, 2009. CCR has a long history of providing awards and recognition of outstanding members of the chemical research community.  Each year at CCR’s Annual Meeting we present three prestigious awards: the Pruitt Award, the Research Collaboration Award, and the Diversity Award. This year, the awards are all the more significant as CCR celebrates its 30th Anniversary.

Malcolm Pruitt Award
: Named after CCR’s founder, Dr. Malcolm E. Pruitt, then VP for Research for the Dow Chemical Company, the Pruitt award recognizes outstanding individual contributions to the progress of chemistry and chemical engineering by promotion of mutually beneficial interactions among universities, the chemical industry, and government. Research Collaboration Award: CCR solicits team project "success stories" demonstrating that collaboration among chemical research sectors provides public benefit by bringing new technologies to market. Exemplary successes are recognized at CCR’s annual meeting with the Collaboration Research Award and posted on CCR’s website as models of excellence. More...

Diversity Award: This award recognizes an individual whose leadership has had a positive impact on advancement within chemistry-based sciences and engineering, minorities, women and underrepresented groups through recruitment, retention, mentoring and increasing access to research careers. More...
